Why This Trek?

The snow on the Himalayas adds majesty to the mountains and the innumerable flower patches of vivid colors add to its beauty. When the sun shines hot on this field, thousands of flowers bloom here. This valley was unknown till a British mountaineer Frank Smythe first discovered this place. In 1931,  Smythe wanted to scale a peak in Garhwal called Kamet. While returning after successfully completing his mission he took the western pass and lost his way and reached this valley after many difficulties. Thus, was born the Valley Of Flowers Trek.

Fitness Required for Valley Of Flowers Trek
At high altitude as the air gets thinner oxygen becomes less abundant. The percentage saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen determines the content of oxygen in our blood. After the human body reaches around 2,100 m (7,000 feet) above sea level, the level of  oxygen in our hemoglobin begins to plummet. However, the human body has both short-term and long-term adaptations to altitude that allow it to partially compensate for the lack of oxygen.

Had a truly great experience with Renok adventures last June (2014) , I was really impressed with the way they effortlessly manged to rope me into a different trek as HamtPass was undoable due to climatic conditions. The entire trip was well managed and we had lot of encouragement from the trek leaders. Many a times they went out of their way to do things that they really didnt need to do. Still remember the awesome food cooked by Dharmendra . Really enjoyed the trek after such a long hibernation especially the First night camp fire 😉 Sorry guys for such a late review even now there a lot of good thing I want to say but bit tied for time. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I feel they can go much higher 🙂

Vinod Kumar Menon

Our trip on the Valley of Flowers Trek 2015 was amazing! Team Renok were committed to providing the best experience during the entire trek, and each and every trekker were personally assisted.
Their Hotel’s choice during the trek was the best we were provided the best hotel accomodation available at those altitudes. I would recommend Renok Adventures without hesitation.
Thank you for the memorable trek of a lifetime!

Stephen Moore

Successfully completed Hampta Trek from 10th sep to 14 sep 2016 with great Renok Team ( Pinku as Main Guide & Vijay as Guide). It was a great and satisfying experiance. Three cheers for the Team & Lovely Group.

Deepak Mittal

Just back from the Kuari Pass Trek with Renok Adventures. Superb experiences, put together and delivered fantastically by Team Renok. We did kuari pass trek with 12 other trekkers from from all over the world ( 2 USA, 1 Australian and rest Indians) and we all got on brilliantly.
Good mix of culture / nature which everyone enjoyed.
We were lucky enough to be away over Xmas /new year and celebrated them in a different manner.
If I had to say anything that could be improved on it would be the length of time driving from Haridwar to Joshimath and back It could have been broken up by a mid journey stay. Great active holiday though – would certainly consider using renok adventures again for another trekking trip in himalayas.

Kenny Vaz

Very well organized trek with great quality of food provided!! The perfect combination!!

Goecha La Trek, 8th-16th, October 2016. Any thing less than a 5 would be doing injustice to the Lovely experience me and my team had on this trek. Staring from the Brand New Scoprio that picked us up from NJP Station and shipped us to Yuksom with 5 hours. Dan Limboo is one Swift driver. The Limboo Homestay was lovely with a garden in the backyard. The icing on the cake was our Guide and Staffs, they were like family to us, We became great friends during the trek. Timboo Limboo is a charming young man with a big smile and a even bigger heart. He pampered us thought the trek. DB ji was our Cook, the man who has magic in his hand. Avilash our porter is young and energetic. You must look for this man, RAM SINGH, he is a my dear person, a man of great wit and possesses a great Knowledge about trekking in this part of the Country. They helped us complete this trek which otherwise would have been impossible. We’ll see you guys soon. And Thank you Renok for the lovely Hospitality.

Debmalya Guha Roy

Renok is managed by a group of passionate people which makes it unique from the rest of their peer players. They keep the experience raw which means more closer to nature. I had a fantastic experience with them in our valley of flowers and hemkund trek. Things always don’t go as planned but to understand the gaps and conversing with fellow trekkers shows their passion to make this a memorable experience for their clients. All the best Jai!

Amarnath Pramanik

Went for Khyar Mundari trek with a group size of 87 people! All I can say is we were blown by the service provided by Renok Adventures. The trek guides, the execution, planning and most importantly the hospitality provided was exceptional. The most important aspect was we were not given any false promises like many travel websites do. Everything was clear right from the start and it was delivered. Special mention to the cook who made sure we were fed the best food! Way to go Renok!

Dear Renok.. I have two things to enquire..
    1. Is it possible to see the whole VOF within one day? Because I have heard that it is better to visit VOF for two days to see its real beauty.
2.Do you accommodate single person in the trek? because I don’t have any friend free during the month of July and August to go with me.

    • April 27, 2015

hey for first time trekkers (two girls)is valley of flowers easier or hampta pass? what would u suggest ? please reply.

    • August 16, 2015

For first timer both treks are good but my personal preference would be Hampta pass trek as its proper trek where you stay in camps and it is little uncrowded as Valley of flowers trek share the same route to Hemkund Sahib.

I recently completed a trek to Valley of flowers (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Hemkund Sahib with Renok Adventures, it was a wonderful experience. It is a beauty mine for nature explorers. A must-see location, a combination of beauty & faith.
It was a trip of 6 days, with a small group of 13 trekkers and two trek leaders cum guides. Renok has excellent guides, both the guides were very helpful and were really very supportive. Their local support, choice of campsite and food is very good. Travel with Renok Adventures and they will make your journey memorable. Thank You so much team Renok for the wonderful experience. Three cheers to team Renok…

Never expected this kind of service on a trek, though I have trekked before with other companies, but here Renok Adventure’s team was very accommodating and flexible with our requirement. I would recommend them always.
