This triangular pool of quiet water which almost kilometer wide. It is around 25 Km from Badrinath. Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwar, the Hindu trinity are thought to take one corner each, and which are named after them. The trek is dangerous, yet brimming with sensational view. There is no spot to rest between, with the exception of holes. Cooked sustenance, stove and so on must be conveyed from Badrinath itself.
Satopanth Lake is one of the troublesome trekking spots in Uttarakhand and undoubtedly the most wonderful trekking courses in the Himalayas.
