Travel Documents:
All guests traveling to Bhutan need to carry Either original Voter ID or Passport to travel to Bhutan.
To travel to Punakha, permits need to be obtained by submitting clear scanned copies of the voter ID card / Passport.
Passengers with children need to carry Birth Certificate or School ID card (ID proof should be valid for 6 months from the travel Date)

Day 01: Arrive at Paro Airport
Paro is the only airport in Bhutan and is the starting point of your Bhutan tour packages. Complete your immigration formalities and transfer to Thimpu. After checking in to your hotel enjoy the evening shopping at local market. Overnight Stay at Thimpu.
Day 02: Thimphu
After breakfast, explore the Thimphu valley with us. Visit the 1. Folk Heritage Museum, 2. Royal Textile Academy, 3.Anim Dratshang (Nunnery), 4.Trashichhodzong – Fortress in Thimphu & 5.Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight Stay at Thimpu.
Facts: King’s Memorial Chorten : Construction of this landmark was the idea of Bhutan’s third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuk (“the father of modern Bhutan”) who has wished to erect monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it serves both as a memorial to the Late King and as a monument to peace. In the evening drive past Trashichhoe Dzong “Fortress of the glorious religion”. This is the center of government and religion in Bhutan and the site of the monarch’s throne room. Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it was reconstructed in 1960s in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans!!!
Day 03 : Thimpu – Punakha (75 km, approx 3 hours drive)
We start early and drive up to the Dochu-la pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) stopping briefly to take in the view of some beautiful Himalayan peaks. The following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m ), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), and Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m. Enjoy lunch at newly open restaurant Druk Wangyel Cafe (not included) and enjoy the panoramic view of the mighty himalayas and visit Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lakhang on your way to Punakha.

Day 04 : Phobjika Valley – Punakha (75 km, approx 3 hours drive)
We start early towards Phobjika valley which is home to the Black Neck Crane in the months of winters where the migrant birds are found in large number across the valley.

Day 05: Punakha to Paro ( 130 Km, 6 hours drive )
After an early breakfast we drive to Paro. The Paro valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu (meaning water in Tibetan) and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom upto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley.
After checking into your hotel, you would proceed for a sightseeing tour of Paro which would include the following places:
- Paro Dzong – National Musuem of Bhutan
- Ta Dzong – National Musuem of Bhutan

Day 06: Paro to Tiger’s Nest back to Paro
In the morning Tiger’s nest base and start the day trek to Taktsang Monastery famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called Tiger’s Nest. In the evening we return to our hotel in Paro.
