Pandits always remember to take their dunk in the waters of the heavenly River Yamuna on the grounds that they surmise that by doing as such they would have the capacity to dispose of the apprehension of mortality or demise. The mountain falling contiguous the wellspring of Yamuna River is named after Yamuna Devi’s dad, Surya Dev. It is named as Kalinda Parvat as Surya Dev is likewise contrastingly named as “Kalind”.

Another legend tells that Asit Muni, the antiquated sage had carried on with his loner life in this area. Every day he washed up both in River Ganga and River Yamuna.
