Hampta Pass in July is beautiful. Even though there is a possibility that it would be raining after mid-July. But, there are several trek organizing groups which organize Hampta Pass trek from June till September. So, you shouldn’t worry about the weather as there is only partial rainfall. Hampta Pass Trek in July is an off-beat, adventure-filled pass. The Hampta Pass is thought to be an ideal trek for beginners, the trek is moderately difficult. It is a short trek of 5 days that gives you an ample amount of time to enjoy the diverse landscape that it offers. Its landscape varies from plush green Kullu valleys to a vertical ledge, high in the mountains.

Some of the high points of the trek are meadows at Jwara covered with green alpine trees and the sand campsite of Balu ka Gera that serves as an overnight campsite. The ascent and descent while crossing from Balu Ka Gera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass is sharp that makes the trek, thrilling.

In August, the weather would be fiddly since there would be snow and ice with rains but nothing to be very anxious about. The land is very flat and the climb is gradual. The second day can seem slightly hard in bad weather. You should not go without local guides if you don’t have any experience of trekking in the Himalayas before. Just make sure you carry good protective winter apparel, trekking shoes, gloves, a raincoat and essential medications, trek pole, sunglasses, sunscreen (with SPF of at least 50).
