Once you begin your trek from Sankri, you can reach the first campsite near Juda Ka Talab in a matter of 2-3 hours. The next day, you will begin your trek to Kedarkantha base camp from where you begin to see the surrounding peaks. The trek route from Juda Ka Talab to the base camp isn’t strenuous. You can easily complete the uphill climb and rest for the remaining day. From the base camp to the summit, the route gets a little difficult and is described by avid trekkers as moderate. On reaching the summit, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the Garhwal Himalayas. You can return to Sankri via the same route, or take any one of the numerous trails leading to Sankri.
