Educational Trips

How did my school tour help me learn life skills?

The idea of field trips for students may sound foreign to some people. However, I still cherish memories of my school tour. A trip to Dalhousie was all it took to help me learn several life skills, and develop bonds with friends I still hangout with. At the time, educational trips for students was a new subject, and we didn’t know what to expect in the company of professional tour operators. However, the experience was not only enjoyable, but exciting.

My School Tour to McLeodganj

Our school took us on a 4-day trip to McLeodganj, where we had excursions to Bir & Billing and the famous Khajjiar ground. The entire trip required us to work as teams, and ensure that everyone was taken care of in the best possible manner. It helped me learn the importance of leadership and teamwork.

My School Tour

Even the most menial things matter quite a lot in new places. Whether it was the waiting time for other students or a stop enroute McLeodganj, we had to cooperate with each other, and ensure that every decision was in the best interests of everyone.

Our tour operators were complete professionals, and we couldn’t have asked for better guides. They not only helped us learn a lot about local culture and cuisine, but even conducted activities to instill values and ethics amongst us.

If given a chance, I’d do anything to get those 4 days back, and build more lifelong memories to cherish. If you’ve been considering a school tour, you’re on the right track. You’re in for a fun learning experience that will allow you to develop as a person.

Just like my school tour, make sure you hire professionals to plan and organise everything. It makes everything a lot easier. To get in touch with Renok Adventures, a reputed tour operator, please click here.
