Walking a little ahead from Bratang, we will cross Marshyangdi River one more time. From here the trail goes abruptly up before we reach the road to Manang. We will continue walking on the road until we reach Dhukur Pokhari, our lunch spot. From Dhukur Pokhari we will trek another hour to reach lower Pisang where spectacular views of Annapurna range will be waiting for you.  Overnight stay at Lower Pisang

Day 06: Pisang trek to Manang

The town of Pisang is the start of the upper region of the Manang district. Today, we climb up to Braga, a Tibetan village. The main attraction here is the Gompa, the largest in the district, with a huge collection of statues on display placed higher on a cliff with the view of the entire village. After a while we reach Manang, where we refresh ourselves and spend the night.

Day 07: Acclimatization at Manang

As we are moving to higher altitudes, we need to acclimatize to avoid the risk of altitude sickness. Manang is the perfect spot for it,with its beautiful natural setting. We can hike up to Gangapurna lake view point in the afternoon for a short tour.

Day 08: Manang trek to Yak Kharka

We will enjoy our morning breakfast in Manang before we start our moderate uphill climb to Yak Kharka. Our trek will be pretty easy today without any steep climbs though high altitude can cause some tiredness. There is a possibility that we will get to see blue Sheep grazing in the mountains. You can enjoy views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak etc.  It’s a day with stunning views of snowy Himalayas. On our trek we will pass two small villages called Tengi and Gunsang. Both villages have a few basic lodges for trekkers. The trek route after crossing Gunsang is mostly smooth.

Day 09: Yak Kharka trek to Thorung Phedi

It is another special day with amazing views, sunny trail and gigantic Himalayas. The trek route is mostly flat until we cross Kone Khola. Before crossing this stream we will pass two small villages called Churi Ledar and Ledar. Once we cross Kone Khola the trek route will have a sudden steep climb. As we reach uphill, the risks of dry landslide will also become higher. We will need to be aware of stones falling down from the cliffs. Once we cross this risky area the route becomes smooth before we reach Thorung Phedi. We can stay here tonight and prepare crossing the pass.

Day 10: Thorung Phedi trek to Muktinath over the Thorung La Pass

Today, it would be better to leave early in the morning as the trail gets steep and sharp. This route brings you to the Thorong High Camp which takes approximately 1 hour. Then the route gradually ascends until we reach Thorong-La Pass which takes about 3 hours where you can enjoy taking pictures of you at the highest altitude, later we climb down as soon as possible. You continue to climb down until to Chabarbu which takes about 3 hour where we find a place to have lunch. Then after lunch, you continue on the same route until we reach Muktinath village. Overnight stay at Muktinath village.

Today is the last day of the trek. We will move through a route to Kagbeni or Lupra along Kali Gandaki River to reach Jomsom. Jomsom is a breezy valley that can be cold where we encounter some of the unforgettable views of Tilicho Mountain and beautiful wet hills. There is an airstrip from where we can fly to Pokhara next day. Overnight at Jomsom.
