The nearest point with motor able access is Govindghat, which is approximately 18 km from the valley. A newly constructed 4 km road from Govindghat takes you to Pulna, from where the 13 km moderately difficult trek to the valley starts.
Ghangaria, the basecamp, is about 10 km from Pulna village, and just 4 km from the valley. Though the trek’s not-so-difficult, it’s obviously important to know how to reach Valley of Flowers via different modes of transport.

Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport to the valley. It’s well-connected via daily flights from Delhi and other major Indian cities. This is probably the best option for people wanting to cover Hemkund Sahib.

By Train: The nearest railway station, Rishikesh, is 273 km from Govindghat. Trains to Rishikesh are easily available from all major Indian cities. Taxis and buses at regular intervals ply between Rishikesh and Govindghat.

By Road: Govindghat, about 18 km from the Valley of Flowers, has good access via motorable roads. Taxis and buses for Govindghat are easily available from Haridwar, Rishikesh, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Ukhimat, Chamoli, Karanprayag and other cities in Uttarakhand.
