One of the easiest treks in northern India, Triund is approximately a 7 km trek, which can be covered in about 4 hours by beginners. Though May is generally a good month to plan a trek to Triund, the second half of the month can see some unexpected showers causing problems on the route. Overall, Triund weather in May remains pleasant and allows you to enjoy the true beauty of the hills.

A lot of trekkers plan to start Triund trek from the famous Bhagsu waterfall, which also houses the infamous Shiva Cafe. On the route, you can see the snowy Dhauladhar range in the backdrop. You’re also welcomed by the lush valleys and alpine flora. Harmless mountain dogs seek your attention throughout the trek.

Since May is one of the most favourable months to plan your visit, the place may seem crowded, and you’ll come across numerous trekkers on their way back from the top. A few small shops sell maggi, snacks and water. On the top of the hill, there’s just one shop selling these items. If you plan to camp overnight, you can rent tents from locals at affordable prices.
