Fitness Required for Bhrigu Lake Trek

At high altitude as the air gets thinner oxygen becomes less abundant. The percentage saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen determines the content of oxygen in our blood. After the human body reaches around 2,100 m (7,000 feet) above sea level, the level of oxygen in our hemoglobin begins to plummet. However, the human body has both short-term and long-term adaptations to altitude that allow it to partially compensate for the lack of oxygen.

I am interested in participating in the 13-15 Aug 2016 batch trek to Bhrigu Lake along with 4 of my friends. Let me know by what time we can expect to come back to Manali on day 3, August 15 since we have to catch a bus on that day to reach Delhi by early morning next day.

      Hi Niraj,
Brighu Lake trek is a moderate trek and for the Bhrigu Lake Trek itinerary in Himalayas the trekking distance between each is around 6-7 Kms and takes around 5 to 6 hours depending upon your pace this might increase or decrease. Its a relatively safe trek as it lies on a short distance from Manali.
