Hampta Pass Trek in June is a easy trek with varied landscape to suit everyone’s need. The drive from Prini to Jobri is full of hair pin bands and you start the trek from Jobri through thick forest and the open Valleys full of snow. You get the feel of trekking over glaciers and crossing snow bridges to reach the summit of Hampta Pass at 14000 ft.

Day 01: Report at Prini Camp after briefing drive to Jobri and Trek to Chika

Day 02: Chika (10100 ft) to Balu ka Ghera (11900 ft) 5 hrs easy ascent.

Day 03: Balu ka Gera (11900 ft) to Hamtpa Pass Top and return

Day 04: Trek from Balu Ka Gera to Jobri and Drive to Manali.

Detailed Hampta Pass Trek in June Itinerary

Day 1: Report at Manali Trekking Campt at Prini & Drive from Manali (6,000 ft) – Jobri  then  trek to Chika (1,0100 ft).

Report at Manali Trekking Camp at Prini after briefing session we will drive from Manali (6725 ft) to Jobri and we start our hike to Chika (10400 ft) our today’s campsite. Hampta Pass Trek in June is an easy 2-hour ascent through thick forest of Oak and Deodar trees and then we cross a small bridge over a small stream coming from Deo Tibba West Basecamp. Once you are out of the forest in the open valleys you will see the snowy landscape. We stay at an overnight camp at Chika.

Day 2 : Chika (10,100 ft) – Balu ka Gera (11,900 ft) .5 hrs easy ascent.

We start the trek early with sumptuous breakfast today’s Hampta Pass Trek in June is a steady ascent. While trekking we witness the remarkable Dhauladhar range in the backdrop and once we take a right turn and magnificent views of Indrasan Peak. The best part of today’s trek is crossing the snow bridge, river crossing at Jwara nala. After crossing Jwara Nala it will take around one hour to reach our camp. After reaching at our camp relax and enjoy the views with hot cup of tea. Overnight stay in tents at Balu Ka Gera.

Hampta Pass Trek in June

Day 3: Balu ka Gera to Hampta Pass (14,100 ft) and return to Balu Ka Gera.

This is the most amazing part of the Hampta Pass Trek in June as we summit the Hampta Pass. We start early with packed lunch as today is the longest day of the entire trek. You will trekking over the snow and moraine depending on the weather conditions. Initial part of the trek is gradual and once you reach upper Balu Ka Gera then the ascent to Hampta Pass start. Once you reach the summitt it’s the feeling you cannot describe in words. From Hampta Pass you can view the Indrasan Peak and its enormous glacier. After spending sometime at summit we trek back to our which will take around 2 to 3 hours.

Day 4: Balu ka Gera to Jobri . Drive to to Manali.

Today we have an easy descent through the Hampta Valley crossing Jwara Nala and following the trail along the Rani river and our Chika campsite we reach Jobri our trek starting point. Our vehicles will be waiting at Jobri which will takes us back to Prini Camp. After reaching Prini Camp we will have feedback and certificate distribution session. Our trek ends with mosaic of beautiful memories.

Fitness Required for Hampta Pass Trek in June
Hampta Pass Trek in June is a high altitude trek and air gets thinner as you gain altitude and Oxygen percentage saturation of hemoglobin determines the content of oxygen in our blood. After the human body reaches around 2,100 m (7,000 feet) above sea level, the level of  oxygen in our hemoglobin begins to plummet. However, the human body has both short-term and long-term adaptations to altitude that allow it to partially compensate for the lack of oxygen.

Trekking Experience: Ideal trek for a beginner.

Fitness Required: The Hampta Pass Trek in June falls in the category of easy moderate treks. The hampta pass trekking trail is fairly described path and has few steep ascends as well as descends. You will be trekking over snow where in you will require to wear good trekking shoes like Forclaz 100. Water is available through out the trail. Hampta Pass Trek in June requires a good physical fitness and if you are trekking in himalayas for the first time then here is a simple routine which you can follow to Prepare for this trek.

Our treks are generally planned in a way that on an average you have to cover around 9 Kms in 6 hours although there may be slight variation depending on the terrain. This works out to roughly 1.5km per hour which is equivalent to walking in the plains at 6km per hour.

You can train yourself to run 3 kms in 30 minutes as per the schedule given below. Remember always start your training program with stretching and warm up exercises.

Follow this training schedule for trekking fitness required.
Week 1: Start with 10 minute of brisk walk and then jog for 10 minutes and finally 10minutes of easy walk.
Week 2: 5 minutes of brisk walk 15 minutes of jog 5 minutes of easy walk
Week 3: 5 minutes of brisk walk 15 minutes of jog 5 minutes of easy walk
Week 4: 5 minutes of brisk walk and jog for 25 min and cool down your body

All our treks are led by certified & Experienced Trek Leaders/Guides. We believe in sustainable adventure eco-tourism which in effect means that our teams are locally sourced. Other than a Trek lead we in our team we will have local Guides, Cook, Helpers and Porters.

How big are the groups ?
We make it a point not to have more than 15 people in a trekking group as we believe that the best way to enjoy adventure is in small sustainable groups.

What is the minimum number of Trekkers required for Fixed Departures ?
Our Fixed departures are guaranteed and a promise to our customer that even if there is a Single trekker we will proceed with the trek at a loss.

I am the only girl in a trek, is it safe?
We generally have a ratio of Male:Female of about 2:1. Mountains on the whole are much safer than the plains. Lots of solo female trekkers join us and we make it a point that only female trekkers share the tent with other female trekkers.

Up to 24 Days :- 95% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Between 14-24 Day :- 70% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Between 14-08 Days :- 50% of Trek/Tour cost will be refunded.
Less than 7 Days :- No refund

What is your Rescheduling Policy?
We will reschedule your trek without any extra charge if this is conveyed to us in writing ateast 1 month before the trek starting date.
Between 07-24 Days before start of the trek :- 30% of Trek/Tour cost will be charged for rescheduling.
Less than 7 days:- 100% of Trek/Tour cost will be charged for rescheduling.

Reaching Manali by Road (Bus)
Manali is well connected with comfortable Volvo buses run by government and private operators. You can catch luxury and normal buses to Manali which are available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate in delhi. The journey takes around 12-14 hours.

Reaching Manali by Air
