Dehradun to Valley of Flowers
Only 329 kms from Dehradun, the journey to Govindghat couldn’t be any simpler. You can choose from various modes of transportation.
By Bus: Many different kinds of buses operate on a daily basis on this route. The bus journey takes about 10 hours. Depending on your budget, you can choose from Non AC Sleeper, AC Sleeper, Volvo AC Sleeper and other types of buses.
By Train: A train from Dehradun to Haridwar takes approximately 90 minutes. You can also take a 3 hour train to Rishikesh, which is the nearest railway station. From both Haridwar and Rishikesh, regular buses are available to take you to Govindghat. You can also hire a taxi from these cities for your onward journey.
By Taxi: Hiring a taxi is probably the best choice to plan a trip from Dehradun to Valley of Flowers. Though it’s expensive than the other two choices, a 10 hour straightforward journey in the car gives you more flexibility.
