About Dayara Bugyal

This is a great trek for trekkers who want to experience the compelling Himalayas at high elevation. “Bugyal” in the local dialect means a “ high height knoll”. Dayara Bugyal and Bedni Bugyal are recorded among the biggest and surely understood knolls in the Garhwal Himalayas.

Located at a height of 3048m, Dayara Bugyal is second to none in its greatness. On the onset of winters, they change into perfect ski slants over an area of around 28 sq km. A ropeway from the street head at Barsu to the ski slants has long been guaranteed by the state government.
