Delhi to Chandratal Route

The first day of your journey will take you from Delhi to Manali. It’s a 13 hour journey. The distance between Delhi and Manali is about 540 km, and the road conditions are pretty good. From Delhi, you can easily take a bus to reach this scenic hill station. Buses leave daily in the evening and reach Manali early in the morning.

On your way, you’ll cross Chandigarh, which is about 260 km from Delhi. Post this, hilly terrain starts and you’re able to soak in mesmerizing views of valleys, waterfalls, rivers and snow-capped mountains. On reaching Manali, you can rest and catch the early morning bus for Chandratal on day two of the journey.
The distance between Manali and Chandratal is about 140 km. However, this is a tough and challenging journey. From Manali, you need to proceed towards Rohtang Pass. From here, take the Gramphoo Batal pass until Gramphoo, before taking the dirt road on the right towards Batal. On reaching Batal, you need to proceed towards Kunzum Pass, and take the dirt road on the left to reach Chandratal after 14 km.
