Bagdogra is a town in the Darjeeling district of the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a part of the Greater Siliguri Metropolitan Area. It is a gateway to the famous hill station, Darjeeling. The town has a low, hilly terrain and is surrounded by lush tea gardens. The river Teesta flows near the town, adding to the picturesque beauty of the place.
This town is famous for its calm environment, tea plantations and various festivals organized on the banks of River Teesta. The town is just a few kilometers short of the Himalayan range and the scenic views of the eastern range of Himalayas attract tourists from all over the world.
The town offers adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, river rafting and camping. One can also drive to nearby towns of Panighata and Dudhia, which are small villages on the foothills of the Himalayas and are located just 20 kilometers away from Bagdogra
